As we in the northern hemisphere descend further into this darkening cycle of the year, many of us will feel places of unease, of grasping onto what has been, and of avoidance of feeling the loss of what is now gone.

Our conditioning to accumulate is strong. 

Possessions, status, experiences, wealth, health, networks, friendships, love relationships etc, etc.

Striving for more and more and more. 

The imprint we receive to acquire and hold on to it all, is immense. 

And largely based on scarcity. 

On experiences of ‘not enough’. 

On fear that letting go will mean losing it all.

And yes, in the throes of release we don’t know what more is going to be discharged.

We never fully know what is going to be shed in the releasing process. 

Releasing takes us into the mystery of surrender.

We may intend to give something up and find that several other somethings are also leaving us.

Meeting our fear and feelings of helplessness is all part of the process.

And we also have choice.

Choice to line up with the letting go.

Choice to give ourselves over to the releasing each time we notice that we might pull away.

What is this power to choose to move into the whirlpool of liberation and release?

And what if it holds er0tic delight and even ecstasy?

And what would it be like to be guided and supported in that?
