What if there is nothing but love?

I believe that if we peel back enough layers of even the most distorted and desperate actions we’ll find the longing for love.

Underneath it all, everything comes back to love.

And sometimes it’s hard to find. Sometimes the picture we’re seeing is so obscured by our thinking that love seems to be an impossible ground to come to.

So how do we land again and again in love?

Love is a meeting place. A place where we meet the circumstances and situations we find in life with the desire for all life to be nourished and cared for.

And for me that’s the key. To keep welcoming my desire for all life to thrive. In the presence of all the expressions of suffering in the world, in the face of all the great joys and successes of others, can I keep calling in and receiving my longing for all life to be appreciated, uplifted, and celebrated? 

Every time we take a step to uplift one part of ourselves by putting down another, or value someone or something in our lives by devaluing another, we’re actually turning away from love. We’re hitting the unsubscribe button when it comes to love. Love is not an either/or question. If it’s love, then there’s a longing for life as a collective to prevail, not for some more than others.
