Between bullshit stories of inadequacy,
And expectations of greatness,
Beneath fear of persecution,
And demands of brilliance,
There is the simple realm of action.
The ground of ‘I’ll do it anyway’,
In the face of all that was, is and could be.
This is the place where life lands.
Life is rooted in the courage of action,
Life turns on the magnetism of action.
There is no being or doing in the world that is not action.
And so great is the choice we have in how we act,
That we are often lured into the possibility of greatness.
Yet greatness does not live in possibility.
Greatness lives only in the realm of action.
Held in every action,
However small,
Is the statement of living.
And to speak life through your being and doing is greatness itself.
